Salary: Based on experience and qualifications, in line with SCHADS Award

About the Role:

As a Disability Support Worker with The Project Possible, you'll play a vital role in empowering people with disabilities to live meaningful, independent, and connected lives. You'll work directly with NDIS participants in their homes, in the community, and within Supported Independent Living environments - supporting them to reach their goals, enhance daily living skills, and participate in the activities that matter most to them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centred support aligned with each participant's NDIS plan and goals
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal prep, cleaning, and medication reminders
  • Support social and community participation (e.g. attending events, shopping, appointments, recreational activities)
  • Foster independence through skill-building and encouragement
  • Work collaboratively with families, guardians, and allied health professionals
  • Maintain accurate and professional documentation and progress notes
  • Uphold the rights, privacy, and dignity of every participant
  • Respond to individual needs with compassion, respect, and adaptability

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting people with disability, mental health, or complex needs
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • Current Driver's Licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
  • Ability to work flexible hours (morning, afternoon, evenings, and weekends)
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to inclusion and empowerment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, or equivalent (preferred)
  • Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module (preferred)
