About the Role

We're looking for a friendly and motivated Casual Counter Sales Assistant to join our team in Hastings. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong attention to detail, and wants a hands-on role in the garden and building supply industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve customers and assist with product selection
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships
  • Accurately enter orders and handle transactions with attention to detail
  • Answer phones and provide product information
  • Maintain a clean and presentable branch environment
  • Operate point-of-sale and basic computer systems
  • Work as part of a high-energy, supportive team

What We're Looking For

  • Strong customer service focus
  • Confident communication and phone manner
  • Reliable, professional, and well-presented
  • Basic computer skills
  • Current driver's licence
  • Team player with a can-do attitude
  • Detail-oriented and eager to learn
  • High energy and interest in the building/garden supply industry
  • Previous sales or customer service experience is an advantage, but not essential

No industry experience? No problem.

If you're confident, enthusiastic, and willing to learn, we'll provide full training.
