Legeneering is seeking an experienced Maintenance Coordinator with a Mechanical background to join our seconded team supporting a Tier 1 oil and gas client.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for coordinating and delivering mechanical maintenance activities to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations. Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Interfacing with engineering teams and scope owners to categorise and prioritise mechanical maintenance scope.
  • Facilitating scope development and screening sessions for mechanical activities.
  • Stewarding engineering contractors and monitoring delivery of mechanical packages.
  • Supporting development of cost estimates and schedules using norms and unit rates.
  • Developing and coordinating Project Execution Plans.
  • Coordinating delivery of scope sheets and mechanical workpacks.
  • Contractor management and interface for mechanical scopes.
  • Planning and scheduling maintenance activities to align with operational requirements.
  • Optimising resource allocation to maximise delivery and minimise waste.
  • Liaising with department coordinators on changes and adjustments to mechanical resource estimates.

Position Requirements

To be successful, you will ideally bring:

  • 5+ years related industry experience in the Oil & Gas sector (highly desirable).
  • Previous SAP or SAP4HANA experience (highly desirable).
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or Mechanical Trade Certificate.
  • Strong knowledge of oil and gas piping systems, pressure equipment, rotating equipment, and valves.
  • Understanding of mechanical maintenance best practices, including preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Experience with offshore fabrication, repair, and coating processes.
  • Estimating and coordination experience (desirable).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Cultural awareness, respect, and sensitivity regarding First Nations communities.
  • Ability to pass a workplace medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening.
