Our Northern division operates five beef processing plants across Queensland and Northern NSW, producing more than 400,000 tonnes of beef products every year.
Located in the Beef Capital of Australia, the JBS Rockhampton Plant produces a range of pasture fed and grain fed beef products. Our verified organic grass-fed beef brands, Acres Organic and Right to Roam, are both packed exclusively at Rockhampton. The plant employs approximately 560 team members with a processing capacity of 700 head of cattle per day, operating 6 days per week.
About the Role
The JBS Rockhampton Plant is currently recruiting a passionate Talent & Community Engagement Officer to join the HR team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the HR Manager, this role is ideal for anyone with previous Recruitment or HR exposure looking to further develop their end-to-end talent acquisition experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment whilst meaningfully engaging with the local community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
End-to-end ownership of recruitment including selection, placement and onboardingDeveloping effective relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholdersTaking the time to understand the operational environment to support high quality placements across the PlantDeveloping relationships within the community to support ongoing community involvement such as local education, sporting clubs and Job Active providersIdentifying and implementing recruitment and onboarding improvement opportunitiesBuilding the JBS employer brand within the community and supporting community initiativesCoordinating and attending careers days and relevant careers exposDeveloping relevant marketing campaigns, targeting local areasCompleting required recruitment reportsAbout You
Previous experience within a similar recruitment role advantageousStrong knowledge and understanding of recruitment related laws and legislation including relevant compliance requirementsPrevious experience within a food manufacturing environment advantageousStrong attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work professionally and effectively within a team environmentHighly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsExcellent time management skillsAbility to establish priorities and meet deadlinesDemonstrated ability to provide situational leadershipPassion for process improvementWhy work for JBS Australia?
