Project Manager

A great opportunity for an experience Project Manager with High Voltage (HV) experience to lead the successful delivery of high-profile electrical projects across Australia.

This role is suited to a results-driven professional with a strong background in high voltage systems, testing and commissioning, and utility or mining projects.

You will oversee end-to-end project delivery, from design and construction through to commissioning ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead a team of professionals, guiding them to achieve project goals.
• Coordinate and direct project managers, construction teams and subcontractors, overseeing all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with design, quality, and other client specifications.
• Managing all aspects of the project to ensure timely and successful delivery.
• Provide and track relevant Project goals and KPIs, that are aligned with the Company's business objectives
• Developing detailed project plans, including scheduling deliverables, estimating costs, and selecting appropriate tools, materials, and equipment.
• Tracking and managing inventory, procurement, and resource allocation.
• Leading and supervising construction teams, subcontractors, and consultants both onsite and offsite.
• Ensuring all construction activities adhere to design specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
• Maintaining clear and proactive communication with stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals, timelines, and progress.

Skills and Qualifications

• Qualification in Project Management or relevant technical field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience managing High Voltage and electrical infrastructure projects, preferably within utilities, resources, or construction sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of HV safety procedures, switching operations, and network protection systems.
• Demonstrated experience in managing high performance teams.
• Demonstrated good safety record and knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety.
• Demonstrated Project Management experience.
• Current National Police Clearance.
• Valid Driver's Licence – "C" Class.
• Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining high level of accuracy.
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise, delegate, schedule, and plan.
• Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently using own initiative and within a cohesive team environment.
• PC proficiency with advanced IT, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook MS Project, and Project management software skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to engage with technical working groups.
• Ability to analyse, manage and mitigate risks and achieve consensus through negotiation and conflict resolution.
• Ability to travel to other worksites and/or client premises as required.

Strong High voltage experience and knowledge is essential to this role to oversee operations including but not limited to:

• High Voltage Switching
• Protection Systems
• Cable Jointing and Testing
• Transformer Installation and Commissioning
