Port Hedland Karratha Pilbara, Australia ODH Mechanical Pty Ltd Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

ODH Mechanical Pty Ltd are looking for fulltime highly motivated and experienced Diesel Fitter with good plant, truck and road equipment experience, who can work unsupervised on site and in our workshop in Karratha.

You will use your skill set to ensure the preventative maintenance and servicing of earthmoving equipment, trucks and light vehicles.

Duties will include:

  • Analyze, diagnose, repair, modify or install parts and equipment working to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnosing faults, general servicing and repairs and attending breakdowns.
  • Use of specialized tools and computers to diagnose and repairs faults
  • Dismantling, repairing and reassembling parts/components.
  • Some hydraulic work
  • Confident using oxy, mig and arc welding techniques for repair / modification works as required
  • Studying drawings/schematics to determine suitable material, sequence of operation and machine settings.

This is a residential Karratha based role. Company Vehicle provided.

To be considered for this role:

  • Trade Qualified Diesel Fitter / Mechanic with at least 2 years relevant work experience.
  • Have extensive experience working on all Earthmoving equipment, Road transport and light vehicles.
  • You must have excellent problem solving, diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • HR or MR license preferred
  • Forklift / High risk work licenses desirable
  • Hands on approach
  • Ability to work autonomously, in a fast paced environment

You must be able to pass a full Pre-employment medical.
