The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic/Fitter to provide breakdown, service and planned maintenance support on a range of construction and mining equipment.

This permanent role offers the opportunity to work with a wide variety of equipment and to access OEM training while building a long-term career in a global company.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Performing onsite repairs on a wide range of construction and mining equipment
  • Attending to site breakdowns within Port Hedland and surrounding areas
  • Undertaking diagnostic work
  • Liaising with customers to build strong relationships
  • Working with internal technical support staff to achieve successful maintenance

This role requires:

  • A relevant Australian mobile plant trade qualification
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of civil and mining equipment
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work autonomously in remote areas
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Great technical knowledge and diagnostic ability

Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary, superannuation paid on all ordinary hours, minimum 12hrs paid for all work days, laptop provided, 210hr annual leave and 10 days' personal leave per annum.
