As the Professorial Chair in the Faculty of Education, you will provide intellectual leadership and mentorship, advancing the discipline of education on an international scale. You will have the opportunity to lead high-quality scholarship, support graduate researchers and early-career academics, and elevate the Faculty's global profile. This prestigious role allows you to catalyse pioneering educational research and foster international collaboration.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and Mentor: Provide academic leadership and mentorship to graduate researchers and early-career academics, fostering their scholarly development.
  • Drive Research Excellence: Maintain a distinguished research agenda, publish high-quality outputs, and engage in multidisciplinary projects.
  • Enhance Global Engagement: Strengthen international networks and promote the Faculty as a global leader in educational research.
  • Foster Collaborative Opportunities: Design and lead Graduate Research Schools, facilitating international dialogue and intensive learning experiences.
  • Drive Engagement: Build a strong culture of engagement with external partners across industry, government, education systems and community sectors and groups.

You may be a great fit if:

You will be an esteemed academic with a PhD in Education, possessing a strong global standing and a commitment to intellectual leadership, mentorship, and advancing educational scholarship.

You may also:

  • Have a proven track record in obtaining competitive research grants and leading interdisciplinary initiatives.
  • Track record of success in fostering excellence and leadership in developing scholarly, research and professional activities nationally and internationally in education,
  • Possess strong leadership skills with experience in fostering professional relationships and collaborations.
  • Be passionate about diversity, inclusion, and equity, actively supporting Indigenous cultures and knowledges.
  • Have effective communication skills and the ability to build successful partnerships. with industry and government.
