We are a well established Australian owned company that deals within the water industry. Our Head Office is based in the Sydney CBD and we have branches throughout Australia.

We have grown considerably over the last few years and built a successful, multidisciplined company with a reputation for quality products and services.

Recently we have made a number of acquisitions and coming into the end of financial year we are looking to appoint a Financial Accountant or Management Accountant to work with our Commercial Manager on preparation for year end audits and process controls. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure across taxation, FP&A, and financial control.

The role can either be full time or we could consider a medium term contract depending of the persons suitability and performance. You will be working across the finance team and also with individual Business Unit Managers so you need to be a confident communicator, highly organised and capable of strong commercial/financial management.

The duties will include:

  • Assist with year-end close and statutory financial reporting

  • Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts

  • Support external audit processes and liaise with auditors

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/local GAAP)

  • Assist with tax calculations and submissions

  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decisions

Ideally we are looking for an experienced person with:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • CPA/CA qualified (or working towards)

  • 3 plus' experience in a similar financial accounting role

  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and compliance

  • Proficiency in ERP and accounting software

  • Strong reconciliation skills and a problem-solving mindset

The role is Monday to Friday and normal office hours. After an initial period there may be the opportunity to work 1-2 days from home depending on business requirements.
