Description:
The Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) Practitioner is responsible for providing information, support, counselling and mediation for separating couples and their children and assisting families to focus on the best interests of the children and young people.

Joining a values-driven, supportive and inclusive team, you will:
- Undertake client intake, risk and needs assessments and ensure recommendations and related practices comply with the Family Law Act 1975 (the Act) and the Family Law (Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners) Regulations 2008 (the FDRP Regulations) and other legislative requirements.
- Undertake family dispute resolution and case management with couples, families and individuals.
- Apply knowledge of relevant theoretical models and frameworks (FDR, conflict resolution, child development and child inclusive mediation) to ensure FDR practice appropriate to client needs.
- Conduct assessments of clients and make appropriate referrals as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with ongoing mediation practice standards and professional development requirements to maintain FDR Accreditation.
- Actively participate in the process of professional supervision and identifying and undertaking professional development opportunities
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative and values driven team environment that embraces a culture of 'best practice' and innovation.

Skills and Experiences:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- It is essential to have Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Law, or Family Dispute Resolution / Mediation
- Accreditation as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner or currently eligible to obtain registration under the accreditation standards set out in the FDRP Regulations
- Experience in family dispute resolution and child-focussed practices and the ability to articulate the family dispute resolution process
- Understand the obligations of FDR Practitioners under the Act and the FDRP Regulations
- A current Driver Licence.
- Currently hold, and/or eligibility to obtain and maintain, both a Disability Worker Screening and a Working with Children Blue Card.
