We are looking for a talented and passionate Pastry Cook to join our team and help us create extraordinary chocolate experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and Baking: Prepare, bake, and decorate a variety of pastries, desserts, and confections, ensuring all products meet Loco Love's high standards of quality and presentation.
- Filling and Bases: Specialize in the creation of complex fillings and bases for our products, including ganaches, mousses, and various doughs, with precision and consistency.
- Recipe Adherence and Innovation: Follow recipes and techniques accurately while also contributing creative ideas for new products and improvements.
- Sustainability and Sourcing: Ensure all products are made using organic, ethically sourced ingredients in line with Loco Love's commitment to sustainability.
- Kitchen Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaboration and Planning: Collaborate with the head chef and other team members to plan and execute production schedules.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, and place orders as needed.
- Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks to ensure consistency and excellence in all products.
- Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends and continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.
- Growth and Change: Drive change and growth within the business by developing new pastry-related items that complement our existing product range.
Requirements:
- 2 years minimum of proven experience as a pastry cook
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Expertise in creating intricate fillings and bases for pastries and confections.
- Creativity and passion for crafting unique and delicious pastries and confections.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multipletasks simultaneously.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Understanding of and commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing practices.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal culinary or pastry training from a recognized institution.
- Experience working with organic and specialty ingredients.
- Familiarity with Loco Love's product range and brand values.
