The National Wine Centre of Australia (NWC) is one of Adelaide's leading hospitality venues situated in the vibrant East End of the CBD. Our unique architectural building is surrounded by the green space of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens and parklands. The venue plays host to over 50,000 international, national and local visitors per year, in addition to hosting over 800 events.

The NWC is a showcase and focal point for Australia's wine industry and as such, it has become a beloved landmark for food and wine lovers across the country who have engaged in the range of wine tourism and event experiences on offer.

NWC's Wined Bar provides quality food, wine, coffee and customer service to visitors of the Centre. Our cellar door offers over 100 fine Australian wines to taste & purchase and is open 7 days. Boasting state-of-the-art Enomatic machines (wine serving & preserving system) and an innovative menu. We're looking for passionate new team members with strong hospitality skills & wine knowledge.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Experience in a cafe/restaurant/hospitality venue
  • Wine Knowledge (especially Australian wines) will be highly regarded
  • Passion for food and wine
  • 7-day availability to work a rotating roster
  • Good coffee knowledge and the ability to consistently produce high quality coffees in a high volume/fast paced environment
  • The ability to build rapport with regular clients
  • Strong customer focus & excellent personal presentation
  • Have strong customer & staff engagement
  • Work closely with Sommelier team to maximise wine sales and knowledge
