Point Care is a dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities.

Position Summary:

  • provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plan.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing and grooming.
  • Provide transportation assistance to clients.
  • Provide respite care to clients and their families.
  • Keep accurate and up to date records or clients' care plans and progress.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
  • Follow health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field.

Requirements

  • Immediate availability – can start as early as Monday, November 10
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent education
  • Certificate III (or higher) in Individual Support, Disability, Mental Health, Aged Care, or other relevant qualifications
  • Lived or paid experience supporting people with disability
  • Willingness to work sleepover shifts as part of a rotating schedule
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS framework, principles, and participant rights
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining safe work practices
  • Ability to support clients from diverse backgrounds, with sensitivity to cultural, linguistic, and individual needs
  • Basic care and first aid skills to ensure client safety and wellbeing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong general computer literacy for record-keeping and reporting
  • Reliability and commitment – we need someone who can commit to their shifts and will not cancel at the last minute
