About the Role

Join our team to provide support services to individuals who are part of the NDIS and to assist them in achieving their goals and reaching their full potential. You will meet clients in their homes, and in their community to support them to complete activities related to daily living, community engagement, basic home maintenance, and the development of life skills.

Skills & Experience


• Diploma or minimum Certificate III in Community Services or a similar qualification, or at least 2 years of experience as a NDIS worker.


• Willingness to obtain qualifications within 3 months of employment if not already held.


• Current Blue & Yellow Card Notice (or willingness to obtain).


• Current First Aid & CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).


• Current Driver's License & fully comprehensive personal vehicle insurance (a fleet of vehicles is available, but personal vehicle use may be required; mileage is compensated at sector rates).


• Experience in delivering person-centred support to clients with disabilities, ensuring their individual needs and goals are met.


• Strong documentation skills for completing case notes and incident reports accurately.


• Ability to work collaboratively with clients, team members, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality care.


• Understanding of relevant legislation, including the NDIS Code of Conduct and Client Charter, or the ability to gain this knowledge.


• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients, management, and team members.


• Knowledge or experience in managing challenging behaviours and supporting clients with complex needs.


• Strict adherence to confidentiality and privacy policies.


• Ability to document and manage Conflict of Interest issues as required.

Additional skills & experience that will be highly regarded:


• Personal Care & Manual Handling – Experience in providing support with personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and safe manual handling techniques to promote dignity and independence.


• Seizure & Epilepsy Management – Experience in identifying seizure triggers, responding appropriately during episodes, and implementing personalised care plans to ensure safety and well-being.


• Diabetic Management – Experience in monitoring blood sugar levels, supporting insulin administration, and assisting with dietary and lifestyle management for diabetes care.


• Medication Management – Experience in assisting with medication administration, adherence to prescribed schedules, and understanding medication safety protocols, including documentation and reporting requirements.


• Mealtime Management – Experience in supporting individuals with specific dietary needs, meal plans, and safe eating practices, including texture-modified diets and assistance with feeding where required.


• Mental Health & Behavioural Support – Experience in supporting individuals with mental health challenges, implementing behaviour support strategies, and providing a person-centred approach to managing complex behaviours with care and understanding.

Key Responsibilities


• Provide consistent care and emotional support to clients.


• Treat all clients with respect, dignity, and adherence to the NDIS Code of Conduct.


• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.


• Support clients with medication management, mealtime assistance, and complex health needs.


• Monitor and manage challenging behaviours, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.


• Maintain accurate records and reports on client progress and incidents.


• Work collaboratively with health professionals, families, and the broader support network.


• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the role.


• Other duties as assigned by the CEO or Operations Manager.
