Eye5 Optometrists is an independent practice dedicated to providing outstanding eye care and eyewear to our community. We're passionate about delivering a warm, professional experience for every patient who walks through our doors – and we're looking for a friendly, motivated Optical Assistant / Receptionist to join our team.

About the role:

This is a front-of-house role where no two days are the same. You'll be the welcoming face of our practice, supporting patients throughout their eye care journey. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting patients and managing appointments (phone, email, online booking system)
  • Carrying out pre-testing of patients before their eye test (full training provided)
  • Supporting our optometrists during consultations
  • Handling payments and health fund claims
  • General reception and administration tasks
What we're looking for:
  • A friendly, professional communicator who enjoys helping people
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • An eye for style and detail (interest in fashion eyewear is a bonus)
  • Experience in reception, retail, or healthcare preferred – but not essential
  • Willingness to learn optical and clinical skills with full training provided
