About Us

Denes Lawyers is a boutique plaintiff personal injury firm located in Springfield Lakes, Queensland. We are a growing law firm and now have an opportunity for an experienced Paralegal to join the team in a full-time permanent role.

The Role

This exciting role will offer an experienced candidate the opportunity to advance their career at a reputable firm offering genuine work-life balance at a competitive salary.

In this role you will have conduct of your own matters, you will be in direct contact with clients and you will have the opportunity to work directly under the supervision and guidance of our Principal Solicitor, Oszkar Denes.

The role is based in our Springfield Lakes office. We are open to flexible work arrangements such as a 9-day fortnight, hybrid in office / work from home arrangements, and flexible hours. We organise monthly team lunches and social time to foster and maintain our friendly and inclusive work environment.

Who we are looking for
  • An experienced paralegal working in personal injury law, either at a plaintiff firm or in defendant insurance
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Excellent organisational skills (able to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines)
  • High attention to detail
  • Display enthusiasm, initiative and an overall willingness to learn
  • Valid driver's license

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Keep clients updated about their matters and answer client enquiries
  • Complete notices of claim forms in motor vehicle accident and Workcover claims
  • Prepare Medicare and WorkCover authorities and forms
  • Obtain medical records
  • Organise medico-legal examinations
  • Brief medico-legal experts and counsel
  • Speak to witnesses and prepare statements
  • Organise settlement conferences
  • Drafting correspondence and basic court documents
  • Prepare legal precedents
