The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-focused Accounts Clerk to join our team on a 9-month contract. Reporting to the Senior Accounts Officer, this role will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely accounts payable and receivable functions, as well as providing support across a range of finance activities. It's ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys variety, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

  • Process supplier invoices, including freight and foreign currency transactions
  • Reconcile and cleanse general ledger accounts
  • Set up new suppliers and maintain accurate supplier records
  • Prepare and process foreign payments

Accounts Receivable

  • Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Raise project and recharge invoices
  • Set up new customers and manage account data
  • Follow up on outstanding debts as required

Other Duties

  • Support the finance team with ad hoc accounting tasks and reporting
  • Assist with month-end and year-end processes

About You

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a similar accounts role (AP & AR)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Confidence with accounting systems and strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with foreign currency transactions (advantageous)
