Key accountabilities
- To teach Christian Studies and to lead the development of the Christian Studies teaching programs
- To facilitate and preach at weekly Chapel services and special Assemblies
- To lead and promote Bible study groups, and a range of other ministries for students, including Cru groups
- To foster and support ministries to engage the whole College community, including Staff, Old Boys and parents
- To strengthen connections with the Presbyterian Church, its mission, institutions and programs
Who are you?
- You have a qualification in Education and/or Theological / Biblical Studies as well as NESA registration.
- You will be a member of a reformed evangelical Christian Church
- Experience in Christian ministry preferable to children of early learning primary age (3-12 yrs)
- Ability to work with and as part of the Christian Studies and Chaplaincy teams and to teach Christian Studies across all stages of the Preparatory School
- You will have the ability to infuse Christian value into teaching.
- You have the propensity to recognise the value and uniqueness of each individual within the College community.
- You will have a strong commitment to your own ongoing professional learning and Christian development and maturity.
- You will have professional and personal integrity.
- You have or can obtain a valid working with children check.
- You are committed to ongoing learning in alignment with the development directions of The Scots College.
- You are characterised by purpose, persistence and reflection.
- You are committed to growth and progressively attain goals through curiosity and asking key questions.
