We are seeking a highly motivated and organised People and Culture Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. The People and Culture Coordinator will also be responsible for coordinating employee training and development programs, managing employee benefits, and supporting recruitment and onboarding processes.

The Role:

At Balgownie Estate, you'll be the key driver behind workforce productivity, culture, and compliance. You will partner with department leaders to deliver end-to-end people support, lead initiatives that enhance staff engagement, and drive continuous improvement in HR processes. You'll play a vital role in supporting a high-performing, inclusive workplace where our people thrive.

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes
  • Guide and support managers on performance management and workforce planning
  • Lead employee engagement programs, recognition, and wellbeing initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records in Employment Hero and process payroll
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Work, WHS, and internal policy standards
  • Facilitate training and development programs across departments
  • Optimise HR workflows to enhance operational efficiency
  • Champion a positive workplace culture aligned with our values
  • Provide timely people analytics reporting to support decision-making
  • Lead change management, employee relations, and disciplinary processes

About You:

To thrive in this role, you will:

Hold a degree in Human Resources or related field

  • Have minimum 3 years proven experience in HR or People & Culture roles
  • Be confident in coaching leaders and navigating complex employee relations
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication, organisation, and compliance knowledge
  • Be a champion of workplace culture, wellbeing, and innovation
  • Have hands-on experience with payroll systems (Employment Hero preferred)
  • Possess an RSA and Food Safety certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Have reliable transport to and from Yarra Glen
  • Be available Monday–Friday (this role could be part time 4days, for the right candidate).
