About the Role

QANTM Intellectual Property Pty Ltd (QANTM) is the owner of leading intellectual property (IP) businesses operating in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong under the following key brands Davies Collison Cave Group, FPA Patent Attorneys and Sortify. With approximately 400 employees across its businesses, the QANTM group of businesses have a strong track record in providing IP services to a broad range of Australian and international clients, ranging from start-up technology businesses to Fortune 500 multinationals, public research institutions and universities.

QANTM is now seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Consultant on a six month contract. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, you will conduct a group-wide policy uplift initiative covering our Risk, Governance, and People & Culture functions. You will be responsible for reviewing, updating, and embedding policies, supported by a communications and training program to ensure adoption and alignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Policy Framework:
    Develop and implement a unified policy framework that reflects regulatory requirements and best practices
  • Policy Development:
    Collaborate with stakeholders in Risk, Governance, and People & Culture to draft, revise, and align policies with current regulatory standards, industry best practices, and organisational strategy
  • Central Repository:
    Design and implement a centralised, accessible repository for all group policies with version control and governance protocols
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Collaborate with senior leaders and functional heads to ensure relevance, clarity, and alignment
  • Communications Strategy:
    Develop and execute a group-wide communications plan to promote awareness and understanding of policy changes
  • Training & Enablement:
    Create tailored training programs and resources to support adoption across diverse teams and roles
  • Embedding & Compliance:
    Monitor implementation, gather feedback, and ensure policies are embedded in daily operations and compliant with regulatory obligations
  • Governance Framework:
    Establish ongoing policy governance processes for maintenance, review cycles, and escalation pathways. Advise senior leadership on governance improvements and risk mitigation strategies

About You

  • 5+ years' experience in risk, compliance and governance
  • Proven success in policy development and implementation across multiple businesses
  • Strong understanding of Australian regulatory frameworks (e.g ASIC, AUSTRAC, Fair Work)
  • Experience with policy management systems or document control platforms
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills
  • Experience designing and delivering training and communications programs
  • Qualifications in law, business or risk management (preferred)
