Join the vibrant team at Heronswood Café, nestled within the historic gardens of the Diggers Club

We're seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to deliver exceptional service in a garden café environment.

Casual or Part-Time (Weekdays and Weekends)

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and serve customers with warmth and professionalism
  • Operate POS systems and handle transactions accurately
  • Prepare and serve beverages (barista experience preferred)
  • Assist with basic food prep and plating
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across café areas
  • Support the team during busy weekend shifts and special events
  • Share knowledge about the café's seasonal menu and garden-sourced ingredients

Availability

  • Weekday shifts: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (flexible start/end times)
  • Weekend shifts: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (higher customer volume expected)
  • Must be available for at least one weekend day

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a café or hospitality setting preferred
  • Barista skills and current RSA certification highly desirable
  • Passion for sustainable food and garden culture
  • Friendly, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
