Salary range: $65,483.31 to $ 74,528.19 per annum dependent on skills, qualifications and experience.

Opportunity: The City of Albany's Developed Reserves Team is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join their team. This role is available from level 3 to 6 dependent on your experience and qualifications.

As part of this role, you will work Monday to Friday on a rostered 9-day fortnight, reporting to the Leading Hand, this position will see you responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Operating and maintaining plant and equipment; tractors, mowers, whipper-snippers and brush-cutters
  • Undertaking manual tasks such as garden maintenance, mowing, pruning and weed spraying responsibly and safely under the direction of your supervisor or team leader
  • Working productively in a collaborative team environment
  • Making technical and operational decisions related to own work

About You: To be eligible for this role, you must possess the following;

  • Previous experience in parks maintenance and machine operation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Basic oral, written and numeracy skills.
  • Basic First Aid
  • Physical fitness capable of undertaking manual labor

The completion of a Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent is required to be considered for levels 4, 5 and 6.

Additional tickets such as, chemical handling, MR or HR licence and traffic management are highly desirable.
