About The Role

Casual Disability Support Worker

Responsibilities of the role include;

  • Supporting the participant with their personal care needs
  • Encouraging their involvement within the community
  • Assisting them to achieve their goals (e.g. getting more involved in community activities, learning life skills, trying new things, etc.)

About You

  • Interest supporting individuals with disabilities
  • Ability to work positively with people with a disability to achieve their goals
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proactive, quick to respond, and focused on achieving outcomes
  • Ability to work flexible hours including morning, evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Demonstrated experience with personal care, medications, hoists & manual handling
  • Experience working with people who use behaviours of concern within identified Behaviour Intervention plans (preferred but not essential)

Essential Requirements

  • Current driver's licence with registered, comprehensively insured, and reliable vehicle
  • Smart phone
  • Current CPR & First Aid
  • Working With Children Check (Paid)
  • NDISWC (ask the office if you are unsure)
  • Completed NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Current National Police Check
  • COVID-19 Vaccination

Pay: $41.53 – $60.00 per hour
