**About the opportunity**:
The Disability Trust have a range of rewarding casual opportunities within our Illawarra. We are seeking professional, positive and ambitious Disability Support Workers that are passionate about working in our industry to continue this success. This role will see you supporting participants within Short Term Accomodation in the Illawarra region. You will be working with participants with challenging behaviours as well as children.
Your commitment to deliver person-centred support that are valued by people with disability and their families is essential to this role. You will be part of a dynamic team that provides supports across all domains of life to enable access to quality of life with dignity, respect and social inclusion. This is achieved through supported active decision making, inclusive practice, building and maintaining community connections.

- Demonstrated awareness of disability

To be successful in the role of Disability Support Worker, you will be required to obtain a Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid Certificate and evidence of three doses of the COVID-19 vaccination before commencement. You will also be required to have a current driver licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

The casual hourly rate is $38.08 - $41.54 (plus superannuation) depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, we will provide you with:
