Our client is one of Australia's largest and best regarded coffin and casket manufacturers in Australia with branches and workshops in every state in the country.

Due to company growth, 2 exciting opportunities have become available for  committed, proactive and qualified Furniture Finishers/Polishers to join their team.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A minimum 3 years' experience as a Furniture/French Polisher
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficiency in the use of polishing tools
  • Ability to work from drawings
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to achieve a flawless finish
  • Proficient with Spray guns/spray booths

(Only single pack pre-cast finish paints used on solid timber and MDF)

Duties and Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

'Enhancing the natural beauty of the wood surface'

  • Preparation of the wood surface
  • Mix and apply stains 
  • Application of Varnishes and lacquer
  • Repair inaccuracies
  • Inspect finish surfaces

Work hours: Monday to Friday 7:00am - 3:20pm - Overtime available

Salary range: AU$32-$35 per hour.

This position is on a full-time basis, and we encourage international applicants to apply as full work sponsorship is on offer.

To be eligible for an Australian work permit you must have completed a successful Skill Assessment or willing to undertake Skill Assessment and English IELTS.

  • Assist for the first month of rental
  • Assist with Taxation and Banking
