Dessava Pty Ltd operates 3500 hectares over 2 properties in the Boorowa region of south eastern NSW. A large-scale prime lamb operation is the major focus complemented with an annual 500 hectares of grazing crop and pasture improvement.

The role requires a self-motivated positive person and provides the opportunities for growth, personal development and career progression whilst working in a friendly and supportive culture.

Key Experience Points Include:

• Skills in observation for monitoring livestock, their health, ensuring adequacy of feed & water, and implementing stock movements.
• Safe farm maintenance, mechanical applications, and operation of farm machinery/equipment.
• Sound understanding of farm safety.
• Ability to work autonomously to complete planned tasks efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work autonomously and implement a plan with attention to detail.
• Having working stock dogs/s advantageous.
• Solid work ethic and attention to detail.
• Show initiative, responsibility and have a positive attitude to work.
• Be physically fit and able to fulfill all requirements of the role.
• Hold current drivers' license and HR truck license or interest in getting one would be an advantage.

The position provides the right candidate with the opportunity to develop their agricultural skills through experience and off farm training courses and potential for increasing their role of responsibility.  A suitable remuneration package reflecting the varying roles and experience will be negotiated with the successful candidates.
