Master Scheduler

The Senior Master Scheduler will be responsible for developing and maintaining the integrated master schedule for a large-scale ERP implementation covering Finance & Operations. Operating as a senior individual contributor within the Project Delivery team, the role will provide expert scheduling support, ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams, third-party system integrators, and internal stakeholders. The position reports to the Project Delivery Lead, under the overall leadership of the Project Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide scheduling expertise to facilitate program planning, dependency mapping, and progress tracking.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage the integrated master schedule across multiple concurrent workstreams, ensuring visibility of interdependencies and milestones.
  • Utilise tools such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft pmo365, and Jira to create, update, and report on project schedules.
  • Conduct critical path analysis and identify at-risk schedule items, escalating issues where required to support timely decision-making.
  • Contribute to the project reporting process by providing accurate and timely schedule updates and insights.
  • Collaborate closely with functional and technical teams, as well as multiple third-party systems integrators, to ensure alignment of deliverables and dependencies.
  • Support governance processes through clear reporting, schedule baselines, and version control of project schedules.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in developing and managing schedules for large-scale, complex enterprise IT programs, ideally ERP implementations.
  • Demonstrated Ability to work within complex delivery environments, balancing competing priorities and adapting to ambiguity and change.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical teams, business leaders, vendors, and project governance groups.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Project and Jira (including customisation and management of Jira for tracking and reporting).
  • Familiarity with Agile ways of working, with the flexibility to operate in hybrid delivery models.
  • Prior experience in healthcare environments desirable; prior experience with financial systems highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with PRINCE2 and Agile methods.
