We're looking for a Tourism Experience Officer to join our team – someone who lives and breathes the outdoors and understands the needs of both tourists and trail users.

About You

  • You have a genuine passion for nature and outdoor adventure.
  • You understand what trail users need – whether they're hikers, mountain bikers, or paddlers.
  • You've got experience in outdoor retail, equipment hire, or guided tours (highly desirable).
  • You personally enjoy activities like mountain biking, paddling, and/or multi-day hiking.
  • You're organised, proactive, and have exceptional attention to detail.
  • You're a great communicator and can confidently engage with visitors from all walks of life.
  • You can work independently, take initiative, and think on your feet.

The Role

  • Casual position with a minimum of 1 day per week (more hours may be available in busy periods).
  • Weekend availability required (some shifts will be on Saturdays or Sundays).
  • Assist customers with bookings, hire equipment, provide trail advice, and share your local knowledge.
  • Help visitors make the most of their experience – from first-timers to seasoned adventurers.
  • Maintain high presentation standards in equipment, displays, and customer service.

Bonus Opportunity

For the right candidate, there's potential to take on additional mountain bike and/or paddle guide work.
