We are currently working with one of our Local Government Clients, located in Perth's Northern Suburbs to find a Commercial Land officer to support with commercial property and land projects.

As a Commercial Land Officer, you'll play a key role in managing commercial land transactions and property matters, including acquisition, disposal, and lease administration. You'll also be responsible for overseeing aged care leases and supporting the divestment of facilities, ensuring stakeholder relationships are maintained and contracts are well-managed.

Please note - To be considered, candidates must have Local Government experience

Start: ASAP

Hours: Full time Hours during business hours

Duration: Approx 10 months temp assignment with potential to extend

Pay rate: Approx $50ph - $53ph+ super

Location: Northern Suburbs

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating the acquisition and disposal of land by sale, purchase, or lease in line with policy and legislation
  • Managing aged care leases, contracts, and divestment activities
  • Administering commercial leases and providing advice on property management
  • Preparing reports, briefings, and documentation to support decision-making
  • Undertaking research and scoping for property-related projects
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with government agencies, contractors, consultants, and community stakeholders

We're seeking someone who brings:

  • Previous experience working within Local Government
  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Property, or a related discipline
  • Knowledge of land acquisition and disposal legislation and processes
  • Strong written and analytical skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality reports and submissions
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills with a collaborative approach
  • Experience in property or commercial land management, ideally within government or a regulated environment
  • A solutions-focused attitude, with the ability to adapt to change and identify process improvements
