About you

We are looking for a highly motivated graduate with a can-do attitude who's excited to learn and hit the ground running. You'll have:

  • strong written and verbal communication skills

  • ability to juggle competing tasks and work to a deadline

  • ability to effectively communicate with people across all levels and backgrounds

  • initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • flexibility to complete some work (events and community consultation activities) outside of normal business hours.

Most importantly you are driven, professional and eager to grow your skills in a supportive team environment.

What you'll do

At True North, no two days are the same.Your role will include but is not limited to:

  • preparing communication materials such as fact sheets, newsletters and media releases

  • creating engaging social media plans and managing social media platforms

  • supporting campaigns and strategies across communication and marketing

  • helping deliver community and stakeholder engagement programs from meetings to preparing reports

  • helping manage community activities and events

  • designing social media and marketing materials using Canva or InDesign

  • keeping our stakeholder databases up to date

  • pitching in across the team to keep things running smoothly.

This role is full-time and is based at our Mitchell Street office in Darwin.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in communication, journalism, marketing or other related disciplines.
