Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity to join a leading welding and industrial supplies company? We are seeking a talented full-time Sales Assistant Industrial / Trade to join our team in our Lonsdale Store. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and sales support to a diverse range of industrial and trade customers.

This hands-on role includes order entry, stock management, customer service, problem-solving and some heavy lifting. You'll need to be accurate, show good initiative and be comfortable handling sales both in person and over the phone. Strong computer skills are essential and experience with SAP is a bonus.

What You Will Enjoy Doing

• You are in charge of phone and counter sales, processing customer orders, responding to requests for information and pricing
• Your role includes promotion and up-selling of new products
• Development and up-keep of in-store displays, and promotional material
• You will be responsible for the stock management and the dispatching and receiving of goods
• Learning and understanding modern Welding processes
• Comply with SPW Safety policies and procedures is required

What Makes You Great

• You will have previous experience in a customer service or retail sales role, preferably within the industrial or trade sector (looking for a break for the tools)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a wide range of customers
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Desire to learn about welding, safety, and industrial products
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work with a willingness to take on a variety of tasks including manual handling
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• You will have a Forklift license or willingness to acquire one is essential
• Work Hours are Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:00pm
