Green Light are currently looking for a skilled Database Performance Architect to join our join our technical delivery team on a remote basis so you can be based anywhere in Australia.  

You will act as a consultant to a customer who is having database performance issues. Providing an investigation and health check.

This is based on an AWS Aurora MySQL backend for one of our energy products and would be focussed on one key customer and then recommendations applied across the fleet by the product line.

Responsibilities:

  • Database Performance & Architecture SME to support one of our energy sector products backed by AWS Aurora MySQL.
  • The initial focus will be on a key customer instance, with recommendations and improvements to be scaled across the product fleet.
  • This role requires deep expertise in query performance tuning, database architecture, and data lifecycle management.
  • Performance Analysis and Optimisation.
  • Data Management and Architecture.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with AWS Aurora MySQL in production environments
  • Strong SQL optimisation and performance tuning skills
  • Deep understanding of database locking, indexing, and partitioning
  • Experience designing data archiving and retention strategies
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across time zones
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
