Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications utilizing AWS services including serverless (Lambda, EventBridge), containers (ECS/EKS), and VM hosting strategies.
  • Architect and optimize databases using AWS Aurora, RDS, ElastiCache, Redis, and Oracle to meet performance and scalability requirements.
  • Develop backend services and event-driven systems using Typescript or Java, harnessing frameworks like Akka and SST.
  • Implement and manage messaging and eventing infrastructures with SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Kafka (MKS).
  • Automate deployment pipelines and infrastructure using Github, Github Actions, Terraform Enterprise, and Artifactory.
  • Monitor system health and observability using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and Observe.
  • Ensure security best practices with Vault, Parameter Store, AWS Certificate Manager, and Secrets Manager.
  • Design system architecture for data-intensive applications, microservices, and API layers, emphasizing scalability and maintainability.
  • Develop testing frameworks emphasizing TDD, BDD, and automation for reliable deployments.
  • Collaborate on system design decisions, addressing tech debt, database schema design, and event-driven architectures.
  • Drive deployment methodologies and SRE principles to enhance system reliability.
  • (Desirable) Work with payments protocols (NPP, SWIFT, BIAN) and integrate AI/ML solutions such as RAG, MCP, Gen-AI, Agentic-AI, and tools like Cline and CoPilot.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Typescript and Java programming languages.
  • Hands-on experience with serverless, containerization, and VM hosting solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of database systems: Aurora, RDS, Redis, ElastiCache, Oracle.
  • Expertise with event-driven architectures using SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Kafka.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools, IaC (Terraform), artifact management, and automation.
  • Solid understanding of observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Security best practices in cloud environments.
  • Experience designing scalable, data-driven, microservice architectures.
  • Experience in AI/ML applications within engineering environments (desirable).

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of payment processing standards (NPP, SWIFT, BIAN).
  • Experience with AI integration and advanced ML techniques.
