Role Description

This is an on-site contract role located in Sydney, NSW for an AWS (Amazon) Aurora PostgreSQL Database Administrator. The Database Administrator will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of PostgreSQL databases on Amazon Aurora. Day-to-day tasks include managing database configurations, ensuring optimal performance, providing troubleshooting support, and managing database replication. The role involves working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and security.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Database Administration and overall Database Design
  • Strong skills in Database Troubleshooting and general Database management
  • Proficiency in managing Database Replication processes
  • Experience with AWS Aurora PostgreSQL is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of data security practices and protocols
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in an on-site team environment in Sydney, NSW
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
