About the role

Marana Forni Australia, a leading provider of commercial pizza ovens, is seeking an experienced Field Technician to join our team in Melbourne, VIC. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of our state-of-the-art pizza ovens and ancillary products at customer locations across the region. This full-time role is an integral part of our operations, ensuring our clients receive the best possible service and support for their equipment.

What you'll be doing

  1. Travelling to customer sites to install, maintain, and repair pizza ovens
  2. Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with pizza oven equipment
  3. Providing technical support and guidance to customers on the proper use and care of their ovens
  4. Documenting all work performed and maintaining detailed records
  5. Collaborating with the sales and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
  6. Maintaining a high level of safety and adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

  1. 2-3 years of experience as a field technician or in a similar role, preferably within the foodservice or commercial equipment industry
  2. Strong technical skills and the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of commercial equipment
  3. Hold current Gas Fitter Licence (Type A or B) and Electrical Restricted Licence for appliance connections and service work.
  4. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner
  5. A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to customer sites as needed
  6. A strong safety-first mindset and the ability to work independently
  7. Familiarity with pizza oven operation and maintenance is preferred, but not required
  8. Availability in travelling interstate and overseas
