Production Technician

In this role you will perform mechanical assembly, cable harnessing/looming, wiring, and electrical testing on the production line to ensure products are assembled to specification, meet quality standards, and are shipped on time.

Your tasks

• Perform mechanical assembly of parts and subassemblies according to work instructions, drawings and bills of materials (BOMs)
• Build and install cable harnesses/looms and perform wiring on products and control panels
• Terminate, crimp and solder wires and connectors accurately and reliably
• Execute functional and electrical tests (continuity, insulation, High voltage tests) and document results
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and assembly drawings
• Follow standard operating procedures, quality checklists and test protocols
• Identify, troubleshoot and document assembly or wiring defects; support corrective actions
• Maintain accurate production records and test data
• Keep work area, tools and equipment clean and organized; perform basic preventative maintenance
• Collaborate with engineering, quality and warehouse teams to support continuous improvement
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies

Your Qualifications

• Qualifications & experience
• Vocational training or certificate in electronics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or equivalent trade qualification
• 1–3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, cable harnessing/looming, wiring and electrical testing (manufacturing/production environment preferred)
• Proficient in reading schematics, wiring diagrams and assembly drawings
• Experience with hand tools, crimping tools, soldering irons and basic test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, power supplies)
• Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610)
• Advanced IT skills able to operate ERP systems and use Excel/industry test software efficiently Skills & attributes
• Strong attention to detail and quality-conscious mindset
• Good manual capability and ability to work with small components
• Problem-solving orientation and ability to follow technical instructions
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Occasional overtime as required Physical requirements
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to lift moderate weights (e.g., up to 20 kg) and work in confined spaces if needed
