Due to the expansion of our activities, we are seeking a
Senior Mining Engineer
with strong Deswik and survey skills to join our team.

As Senior Mining Engineer, you will be working with our team of professionals (surveyors, mining engineers, geotechnical engineers, etc.) on projects that provide
real benefit
to our clients and their communities.

What You'll Do

Based in Brisbane, you will work with our clients in Australia and New Zealand to provide:

  • Short and medium term mine designs.
  • Quarterly, six monthly and annual site extraction plans.
  • Due diligence study support.
  • R&D projects to identify and prove new technologies.
  • Increase your skills through learning how to schedule.
  • Manage client drone and survey programs

The work is
varied
and
challenging
and while primarily Brisbane based, involves some travel to sites (usually for 1-2 days at a time each month).

About You

  • Currently a Senior Mining Engineer.
  • Hold a Bachelor / Master of Mining Engineering.
  • Have
    demonstrated competence
    in mine design using
    Deswik.CAD
    .
  • Beginning experience in mine scheduling using Deswik.Sched and IS.
  • You are an
    RPEQ
    (or are qualified to be one).
  • Good understanding of mine survey systems including drones, GPS rovers, machine guidance etc.
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team and with clients.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Good project management skills.
