Omni is currently seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from experienced Systems Engineers to support major Defence programs nationwide. We are looking for professionals located in:

  • Canberra
  • Adelaide

Experience we are looking for:

We are looking for system engineering who can play a key role in the full lifecycle of defence capability development, from concept and requirements definition through to design, integration, verification, validation and sustainment. You'll work within a structured systems engineering framework and collaborate with specialists across multiple disciplines.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support system design and development activities throughout the systems engineering lifecycle.
  • Develop and manage system requirements, architectures, and specifications.
  • Conduct trade studies, modelling and simulation, and risk assessments.
  • Support integration, verification and validation (IV&V) activities.
  • Ensure compliance with Defence and organisational engineering standards and processes
  • Contribute to technical reviews, design documentation and engineering change management.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including Defence clients, suppliers, and project teams.

Who You Are:

  • Proven defence experience (minimum 5 years) in Systems Engineering across land and maritime domains
  • An excellent communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • An Australian Citizen
  • Hold a current NV1 (as a minimum)
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality, practical outcomes
  • Hold Tertiary qualifications in Systems or Software Engineering, and other related disciplines
