Position: Venue Manager

Location: Brunswick East

Are you an experienced hospitality professional with a passion for service, culture and hospitality? Do you have a passion for leadership and creativity ?

About Us: The Beast is a food and music venue in the Brunswick East that's been open for 12 years.

The doors opened with an eclectic program of music, performance and events, along with a bar program focused on good booze and debauchery, in an iconic Melbourne hospitality space.

We are looking for people who are interested in driving the team, maintaining and developing a great food and beverage program, training staff and improving service and knowledge within the venue. We offer extensive internal and external training, career development and are looking for an industry professional who wants it all.

Requirements and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years in Hospitality management and have great product and beverage knowledge. Applicants must be capable of working in and leading a busy and fast paced environment and able to contribute and drive all aspects of the business and team including:

  • Delivering a great customer experience every time.

  • Contributing fresh and fun ideas

  • Staff leadership

  • Management on menu creation and implementation

  • Effective Rostering working within KPI's.

  • Training and development of team members

  • Cash Handling and Open/Close procedures

  • Financial literacy

  • Venue set up, ambience and music experience.

  • Liaising with artists, music programmer and marketing team to drive new initiatives and top line results.
