Executive Assistant & Junior Sustainability Officer

About the Role

This is a unique hybrid role where you'll provide high-level executive, client, and project support while developing your sustainability career.

You'll work closely with the Managing Director and our Sustainability Specialists, gaining hands-on experience across sustainability strategy, data management and reporting projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing executive assistance to the Managing Director — calendar and inbox management, meeting coordination, travel and document preparation
  • Supporting project delivery across sustainability strategy, data management, and reporting tasks
  • Undertaking project reporting, meeting management, and milestone tracking for client projects
  • Assisting with data collection, analysis and quality assurance for sustainability programs
  • Managing client relationships and maintaining CRM records
  • Supporting public communications and media management (including website, social media and publications)
  • Supporting the design of sustainability deliverables (reports, dashboards, visual collateral)
  • Helping manage internal systems, templates and workflow efficiency

About You

You're organised, proactive and passionate about sustainability — with a strong eye for detail and a growth mindset.

You'll thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment, enjoy balancing admin with technical work, and love learning new tools and systems.

You'll bring:

  • At least
    1 year of experience in a corporate or professional environment
    (government, mining, energy or oil & gas preferred)
  • A relevant degree in
    Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or Communications
  • Confidence using data management software and Microsoft 365 (Excel, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Strong IT and systems skills — experience improving processes or managing workflows is highly regarded
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and professionalism
  • Graphic design capability (Canva, PowerPoint or Adobe) — favourable but not essential
