Overview
Your Role
The Senior Case Manager is responsible for the Management of a portfolio of claims under the WIRC Act where the primary focus is on proactive claims management service for all customers. We currently have a 12 month fixed-term full-time position available, with strong potential to transition into a permanent ongoing role. We offer a flexible hybrid approach, working in our Melbourne CBD office and WFH and there will be the requirement to attend onsite visits to the client sites in VIC. We also offer the flexibility of a 9-day compressed working fortnight or a monthly RDO.
The role will focus on the RTW and recovery of the injured worker in collaboration with their employer and treatment team. This will require you to build strong working relationship with your aligned employer to achieve sustainable claims outcomes for their injured workers and business.
You will specialise in all part of the claims management process including initial liability determinations, return to work planning, claim closure, dispute resolution and more.
The role will focus on the RTW and recovery of the injured worker in collaboration with their employer and treatment team. This will require you to build strong working relationship with your aligned employer to achieve sustainable claims outcomes for their injured workers and business.
How you'll make an impactYou will contribute to Gallagher Bassett across the following:
- Ensuring compliant management of current and ongoing claims within the provisions of the WIRC Act and the non-delegated claims management model
- Delivering excellent customer service to injured workers and collaborating with the treating doctor
- Identifying and assisting in achieving sustainable early Return to Work outcomes
- Ensuring the swift processing of accounts for independent service providers and injured workers
- Determining claims in accordance with delegated limits and legislation and managing claims on an ongoing basis to finalisation
- Participating in Claim Review Meetings and Case Conferencing and prepare up to date summary reports of claims for your client
- Conducting regular face to face case conferences with treating health providers, injured workers, clients and any other relevant stakeholders
We're interested in hearing from people who possess:
- Workers Compensation claims management experience
- Knowledge and experience in managing a portfolio of claims under the WIRC Act
- Strong knowledge of the provisions of the WIRC Act
- Proven experience in building lasting relationships and having quality face to face conversations with clients/customers
- Sound knowledge and experience in the Microsoft Office Suite of products and other work-based systems
- The ability to work both in a team setting and autonomously
