About the Role

ConnectSydney, a dynamic joint venture between Service Stream, Boral and Johnson Controls, will be delivering the Sydney Road Assets Performance Contract for the Harbour Zone in metropolitan Sydney. The ITS (Intelligent Transport System) Construction Supervisor contributes to the project through the management of sub-contractor and internal teams, providing leadership by safely managing performance of people, work programs, and/or processes. This includes primary responsibility for definition, planning, execution and closing activities necessary to successfully deliver works for the project safely. To ensure adherence to best practices project management principles whilst managing the project delivery services to the Client.

This role will consist of mainly night shifts (9pm-5am).

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in formal and contractual meetings with the client and other relevant parties.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders.
• Coordinate all activities across the contract, including scheduling and programming of works.
• Responsible for ensuring that everyone that undertakes work on the contract has the correct training and has valid licences.
• Supporting the contract management system to ensure all maintenance or project activities are completed.
• Ensure all KPI's and contract performance requirements are met.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, communicate policies, procedures, and practices to work teams.
• Assist in the management of maintenance and construction projects in accordance with standards and Risk Management Process.
• Ensure all technical, program, quality, environmental, community, industrial, safety, and commercial obligations are achieved and maintained on site.
• Assist in the development and review of SWMS.
• Assist in business development activities as required.
• Ensure all required management systems documentation adherence.
• Ensure that the whole life cycle costs for all assets are collated and accurately entered into JAMS.
• Ensure all recoverable and chargeable costs on damaged assets are entered in the management system.
• Undertake reviews of reports submitted and raise any items in the management system.
• Program and schedule the attendance of multiple projects with subcontractors and the Project Manager, for night shifts attendance as per the project requirement.
• Attend under-construction sites during a night shift to release hold points, complete inspection test plans, manage subcontractor tasks according to an agreed shift plan, escalate any potential delays, and capture work as executed according to TfNSW specs.

About You:

• Licenced electrician with ITS experience.
• Current driver's licence.
• Demonstrated experience in a road infrastructure environment.
• Demonstrated experience in managing people and/or multiple stakeholders.
• Demonstrated a significant number of years experience in the construction or services industry and safety management in a major subcontractor management role.
