We are now looking for a Product Specialist,to become a key member of our team, based in Erskine Park, NSW.

Reporting to the Consumer Category Leader, the Product Specialist is tasked with supporting the category function through driving the success of products within the categories of responsibility throughout the product lifecycle.

This includes supporting defining the category vision, conducting market research, supporting developing category and product strategies, analysing data, working closely with suppliers and collaborating with various internal departments to ensure that products align with customer expectations and supports the company's overall strategy and goals.

Key ResponsibilitiesData and insights:

  • Data analysis both of internal results and history and of wider market trends
  • Conduct formal and informal research and reviews on all market segments
  • Support defining the pricing strategy of each brand and range, through effective analysis of market rivals, costing, profitability, sell price and margin

Product and category management:

  • Support management of the product range for both the Tyreconnect channel and the wider Tyremax portfolio
  • Liasing with Tyreconnect and Tyremax sales staff and customers
  • Support development and implementation of product strategies that align with company goals
  • Communicate product vision and strategy to stakeholders and team members
  • Support development and implement product plans required for managing product portfolios
  • Product Lifecycle Management
  • Analyse product performance and make data-driven decisions to enhance product offerings
  • Timely monitoring of market trends and competitor activity
  • Specifying market requirements for current and future products

Supplier Management:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers on all ongoing product development

General:

  • Understand and actively support the company's mission, vision, and value statements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Australia and New Zealand

Qualifications Required

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification (e.g. Business, Commerce, Economics) or significant prior analyst experience

  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making abilities
  • Current driver's license
