RACV is seeking an experienced and dedicated Chief Steward to join our team. This isn't just a management role; it's a pivotal leadership position where you'll be the driving force behind the seamless operation of our kitchens. You will lead our stewarding team, upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency, and ensuring our culinary teams can deliver exceptional dining experiences to our members and guests.

As Chief Steward, you'll play a crucial role in our success by leading a high-performing team. You will mentor, manage, and inspire a team of kitchen attendants, providing them with clear direction and support to foster a positive and collaborative environment where every team member is empowered to excel.

You will drive operational excellence by overseeing the strategic and operational direction of the stewarding department, which includes optimising shift rosters for efficiency, managing stock levels, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and control costs. Furthermore, you will ensure flawless execution by maintaining impeccable standards of health, safety, and hygiene through proactive management of equipment maintenance and cleaning schedules.

Finally, your strategic collaboration will make you a key partner to the kitchen brigade and other departments, as your insights and collaborative spirit help us identify new trends and growth opportunities, ensuring our operations are not only smooth but also innovative and financially sound.

  • Proven experience in a similar position, managing a stewarding department or a comparable role.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively train and mentor staff on the job.
  • A strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with a talent for inspiring and motivating a team
