We are an established corporate caterer on the city fringe looking for a part-time chef/cook for an immediate start.

We are looking for someone with the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Demonstrated experience in a commercial kitchen, previous catering experience will be highly valued.
  • Ability to effectively follow instructions and absorb new information.
  • Good communication and immaculate presentation.
  • Team player with a can-do attitude.
  • Understanding of Food Safety and OH&S.
  • Use correct techniques and follow procedures and recipes when preparing and cooking menu items.
  • Foundation knife skills and understanding of basic cookery terms and techniques.
  • Detail focused.
  • Outstanding time management.
  • Calm and composed demeanor.
  • Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience.
  • Experience or passion for pastry is highly valued.

You will be working closely with the head chef and 2IC in preparing daily catering orders, working through prep lists, and developing new menu options as required.

This role is Monday to Friday 6am start time (no nights, very occasional weekend work on request) for a minimum of 20-25 hours per week (flexibility to work up to 30/35 hours per week based on business needs is ideal).

Pay: $31.20 per hour casual rate

Shift start time: 6am

Start date: approximately Monday 19th January 2026

This role is not suitable for someone on a working holiday or student visa.
