Cyan Bar and Lounge is looking for an experienced Cook / Chef to join our energetic team on a casual basis.

We're a modern and welcoming venue known for great food, a friendly atmosphere, and exceptional service. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced kitchen alongside a supportive team and under the guidance of our Kitchen Manager / Head Chef.

About the Role

  • Lunch service on weekends and dinner service from Wednesday to Sunday.
  • Work directly under the Kitchen Manager
  • Assist with training and mentoring kitchen staff, ensuring consistent standards and teamwork.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment.
  • Contribute to menu preparation, stock control, and high-quality food presentation.

About You

  • Must hold a Food Handler's Certificate (Food Safety Level 1 or above).
  • A tertiary qualification in Commercial Cookery is preferred but not essential.
  • Proven experience as a Cook or Chef in a busy kitchen.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable assisting in staff training and development.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Reliable, professional, and passionate about delivering great food.
