CrewSELECT are supporting our client in their search for a Junior Project Assistant for our clients's Bibra Lake office in their construction division.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Junior Project Assistant to join our dynamic Construction Division. In this fast-paced and hands-on role, you will work closely with the projects team to assist in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of multi-disciplinary fabrication packages. You'll play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of projects — on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This role is ideal for someone looking to build a strong foundation in project coordination within the construction and fabrication industry.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and scheduling project activities across multiple fabrication packages
  • Compile and issue fabrication work packs in a timely and accurate manner
  • Coordinate contract handovers and participate in project reviews
  • Track and manage project costs in alignment with budget allocations
  • Liaise with internal teams including workshop personnel, logistics, and procurement
  • Maintain effective communication with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
  • Support the project team to ensure deadlines, customer expectations, and quality benchmarks are met
  • Ensure documentation related to purchasing and quality is accurate and up to date
  • Provide support across all phases of the project lifecycle — from award to final delivery

Key Requirements

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Basic understanding of CAD and the ability to interpret technical drawings
  • Some knowledge of commercial construction projects (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other project-related software (intermediate to advanced level)
