Role Description

A full-time, on-site role based in Ashgrove, Brisbane for an experienced Site Manager. You will oversee the full construction lifecycle of a $70 million mixed-use and commercial project (4 basement levels, 4 above ground). The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage program, safety, quality, and subcontractor performance to ensure seamless delivery of this landmark development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day site operations ensuring adherence to safety, program, and quality objectives.
  • Lead all on-site personnel including subcontractors, trades, and suppliers.
  • Coordinate site activities in line with construction schedules and design documentation.
  • Oversee complex structural, services, and high-end commercial fit-out components.
  • Implement and enforce WHS procedures and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Drive program outcomes through proactive planning, sequencing, and coordination.
  • Monitor progress against project milestones, budgets, and delivery targets.
  • Liaise closely with the Project Manager, Contract Administrator, consultants, and client representatives.
  • Conduct regular site meetings, toolbox talks, and inspections to ensure standards are met.
  • Review drawings and identify design or buildability issues early, providing solutions.
  • Maintain a high standard of presentation, safety, and workmanship across all project stages.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering large-scale mixed-use or commercial projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of structure, services coordination, and interior fit-out delivery.
  • Demonstrated success managing projects valued circa $50M+.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage complex programs and drive outcomes under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Trade qualification or tertiary degree in Construction Management (preferred).
  • Current White Card and relevant WHS certifications.
  • Strong understanding of the NCC, BCA, and relevant Australian Standards.
