Our client is a leading of importer and supplier of European built machinery and equipment for the food production and packaging industries. At this time we are seeking either an existing Service Technician with strong Electrical skills, or alternatively an aspiring, recently qualified, Electrician who would like to be mentored into a career in industrial automation.

Your day-to-day activities will revolve around the installation, commissioning and after sales breakdown servicing of a wide range of industrial processing and packaging machinery. Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Installation and commissioning of new machinery
  • Carrying out regular and preventative maintenance on customer sites
  • Attending to machine breakdowns as required and troubleshooting
  • Providing technical support and advice to customers remotely and in-person
  • Completion of accurate service reports

Our successful candidate will be able to demonstrate most or all the following selection criteria:

  • Relevant Electrical trade or tertiary qualifications.
  • Previous experience in Field Service or Internal Maintenance of industrial machinery/equipment is desirable, but not essential
  • Well developed fault finding process and a strong eye for detail
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Able to work overtime and regular travel as required
