FLENDER in Australia is expanding rapidly, and we have an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Supervisor in our new Service Workshop in Rockhampton.
We are looking for a person with a Mechanical Trades background and qualifications, who can lead and motivate our Mechanical Fitters and Trades Assistants, who always prioritises safety, and who is eager to grow with the business.
The Workshop Supervisor is responsible for planning and overseeing Service operations within the Service Centre/Workshop and ensuring they are executed according to the approved rules and regulations. They also ensure that the quality standards are met within the given deadlines. Workshop Supervisor maintains QEHS standards within the Service Centre.
We are looking for a Workshop Supervisor with 3-5 years of experience in leading teams in the industrial mechanical drives industry. You will be responsible for overseeing the overhaul, repair, and new build of various mechanical components and systems in our workshop. You will also manage the workload, deadlines, and quality standards of your team.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Leadership skills to motivate and guide your team
• Time management skills to plan and execute tasks efficiently
• Technical skills and knowledge of the industrial mechanical drives industry
• Safety awareness and compliance with WHS and environmental regulations
• Proficiency in Word and Excel, familiarity with SAP preferred
• IT skills to use our systems and tools
• Communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• Teamwork skills to collaborate with other departments and units
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands
